Food was not as tasteful as in past. Server was great. All the staff was very attentive and friendly. The bone in rib eye was very good!! It was a nice quiet atmosphere and a good overall steak house. They cook the steak just like I like. This restaurant was amazing! Beautiful soft romantic lighting, great staff I loved that they had an interactive iPad menu. The food was amazing! Definitely recommend! The food was ok, for the price. I ordered the chicken and it was dry, my husbands steak was just ok. We had seafood Alfredo and a steak the Alfredo had no flavor. And my steak Greeted by the bartender, very friendly, got seated immediately. Was told what the special was for the day, offered drinks. Waitress was very friendly sorry, don't remember her name. Meal was superb, steak a little underdone, but great flavor, had ordered medium - think it came out as medium rare. The potato was perfect, and salad and soup French onion was really good. I used to tell everyone to go there just for that particular soup! Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to enjoy a great meal!! Food was outstanding. Service was flawless. Best seafood risotto with huge shrimp, scallops and lobster. All delicious. Will definitely be back. The lobster was so overly cooked it was like cutting a rubber band with a steak knife. I finally gave up and took it home to my cat. However, our server was excellent. Final Cut always has awesome food and our meal on Valentine's Day was no exception. They would get 5 stars, but for the price gouging on cocktails. Therefore, my friend and I each ordered one. When I complained, the server tried to say the price on line was not up to date. When I said the charge was ridiculous in any event, they finally cut it in half. Great food, great atmosphere and usually great service, but watch out for the bill! I'm torn on this place. It could be high end. The prices are there, the food quality is there. They seem cheap to me, not elegant. A beautifully printed menu would be so mjuch better. We got a window seat The restaurant is clean, somewhat quiet, pretty, but the little details were lacking. We both order filet. Both overdone. We didn't send it back, but in hindsight, we should have. This is the sec9nd time we have been here. First time was about 4 years ago and we really enjoyed it. It was summer, so we were able to see the racetrack as it was lighter later in the day. This time was just, meh. The seafood was excellent! We added grilled asparagus and sauteed mushrooms. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive and made our evening a pleasant experience. We highly recommend this restaurant. We arrived early so we we had a drink at the bar. Our bartender was excellent. She made us feel like we were talking to a old friend. We were seated early and our server, Aaron, was awesome. Very knowledgeable, attentive and personable. Food was delicious! Final Cut was an great choice for our anniversary dinner! Great food, higher side of pricing as expected from this type of restaurant. We have eaten here many times and like supporting our neighborhood venues! In the past we have said we would put this up against many prominent steak houses in KC! But not this time! We started as usual in the bar, where we experienced short pours and drinks mixed that were not what was requested! Then we moved to the dining room where they served me a second glass of champagne from a carafe The food was OK, prepared just fine but after the bar issues, sort of made the rest of the evening unpleasant! I was made aware of an issue with a glass of sparkling wine initially not being poured into a Champagne flute, however I was under the understanding that the issue had been corrected. I was not informed about any issues while at the bar. During the same interaction I was told that the food was excellent. On the way out I was told by three guests that everything was excellent. We went during Restaurant Week, I had went to a restaurant the weekend before during Restaurant Week which was excellent, but the value for portions compared to the price Hollywood without standing in that aspect. Service was extremely slow. We had to ask a couple of times for things, like a knife or steak sauce. I have eaten here many times and this was the slowest service ever. On a icy weather night when most of the staff were unable to make it to work and the restaurant offered to reschedule our reservation to a nicer day, we had a very delicious restaurant week dinner. It was well worth the restaurant week price and the servings so large that we both took leftovers home. The booth wrapped around us making it feel very private. Service was good, however my soup got thrown away when I asked to take the rest home. The steak was okay but not anything to get too excited about. Would not go back for full price. Service was horrible. We had to ask to get a waiter. Never checked on how our food was, and took 20 minutes to get our desert. Steak was bland. Wouldn't come back even if I had a free meal offer. Food was overcooked, uninspired and service was slow. Overpriced for the experience. Will not go back, many better options in KC. Have been several times and great. Went for new years eve and found out it was a closed menu which is fine but the predetermined menu was horrible for the price and quality of the meat at Will not go back. Visit was extremely enjoyable from start to finish. Perfect timing from staff on seating to ordering to delivery of food and drink. Food is not inexpensive but value was terrific. A perfect dinner for change. Everything was fine, but you can find better food for a similar price. Although the waitress was very friendly and nice, the restaurant is very understaffed and extremely slow getting food out. I do not hold the server responsible for the bad service as she can only wait on so many people at a time. My suggestion is to either limit the number of reservations so the servers and chefs can do their job or shut the place down till they have a full staff. This is a management problem not a server problem and needs to be addressed before they totally run out of customers for bad service. Slow service and food came cold. Worst dinner experience ever. We have eaten here several times and every meal was excellent. One of our favorite places!!!! The person who seated us welcomed us with enthusiasm. Our server was informed and helpful. Had a great time with amazing food This my 3rd time dining was awful. After the praise I bestowed upon my favorite restaurant it was very disappointing. Our waitress had no clue of the high standards of this establishment. Neglect and a disappearing act thru out the nite. When we finally got our seafood platter half of the food was missing.
