Nation Tribe : Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma. The Chickasaw Nation plans to build a new casino resort on the shores of Lake Texoma. It will include a 9,sq-ft casino, a room hotel and 10 rental cabins. The Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma is moving forward with plans to build a new casino resort on the shores of Lake Texoma. The site is 50 acres of lakefront property overlooking the lake and the Roosevelt Bridge. Lake Texoma Casino Resort is the name of the project. It will include a 9,square-foot gaming floor with gaming machines, restaurants, a room hotel and 10 lakefront rental cabins. The project is awaiting a final decision from the U. Last month an enviromental impact report was published by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. This report will be followed by a public hearing and comments before the Interior Department gives its final approval. The state of Oklahoma and the Chickasaw Nation today announced plans to develop a resort hotel and other amenities at Lake Texoma in southeastern Oklahoma. The project covers 50 acres of lakefront property, overlooking Lake Texoma and the historic Roosevelt Bridge. The project is the result of a settlement negotiated by the CLO, which worked to bring a resolution to the property that was once home to the popular Lake Texoma Lodge and Resort. A private developer bought the property in and the lodge was demolished in , but plans did not come to fruition. Developers blamed the economic downturn of Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin said she has been a long-time believer in the potential of the Lake Texoma area to be an economic driver in Oklahoma. This hotel and commercial development will be the catalyst to stimulate significantly greater economic development in the future. I appreciate Governor Anoatubby's vision and willingness to partner with the state of Oklahoma to continue our joint efforts focusing on tourism in this beautiful and strategically located part of our state. We have been to this casino several times and continue to enjoy it We made it over to this one in DEC passing up the big casinos, that have really gotten so big they are not worth stopping at This small out of the way casino seldom disappoints us as we usually get a lot of play time or some decent wins. It was very smoky and I didnt stay long for that reason. I pick the wrong day to go saturday since its high traffic for them. I read reviews that the place was too smoky. We stopped by for a while last Saturday night and it was not too full and not too smoky. A breath of fresh air after experiencing Winstar. Sorry folks, but I have been to this casino many times and the last was my worst. Not only did I lose money, but it was so poorly ventilated I couldn't stay as long as I had planned. The smoke filled casino was at it's peak that night and my eyes are still irritated two days later. I have been there at different times of the day and various days of the week. They don't use the card so it's harder to keep up with taxes but the payout is good. Its a small Casino. More wins than Choctaw and Windstar. Avoid This Place Like the Plague!!! This place is awful all the way around. The staff is rude and slow and really don't give a crap about the guests. The bartender refused to give me a straw for my girlfriends water. She said we don't give straws for free water and the straw comes out of my paycheck. I guess there was still a few small spots left on her arms for the cheap tattoos and piercing's. There was no one at the customer service area and when I finally did get someone's attention she informed me that their players card machine had been broken for a couple of months and that I didn't need one anyway. There was a guy running an extremely loud high pitched vacuum for 30 minutes right behind us and we would have left at that point but my girlfriend has hit a jackpot and it took 30 minutes and searching for the one person to come that was able to pay her out and that took another 2o minutes. He said he was outside smoking and that she was the only jackpot that had been paid that day anyway says a lot about your odds of winning here. In addition we were in Kingston kind of late as I had some business with a boat, looked at some properties and ate dinner so we got to the casino after dark. We definitely stayed here too long as the clientele after 11 pm started to look pretty shady and we were concerned about getting rolled in the parking lot as at that point they didn't even have a security guard around. Now the jackpots are a lot fewer and farther between. The casino is kept immaculately clean and they have improved the air quality. Stopped in on a Friday night because we were staying at the lake to fish on saturday. Played on multiple machines and I think out of a spins on 6 or so different machines it chirped one time on a cherry.
